“Too many people overvalue what they are not and undervalue what they are.”
~Malcolm S. Forbes
A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a Rs.500 note.
In the room of 200, he asked, “Who would like this Rs.500 note?”
Hands started going up.
He said, “I am going to give this Rs.500 note to one of you, but first, let me do this.”
He proceeded to crumple the Rupee note.
He then asked, “Who still wants it?”
“Well,” he replied,
“What if I do this?”
And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe.
He picked it up, now all crumpled and dirty.
“Now who still wants it?”
Still the hands went into the air.
“My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson.
No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value.
It was still worth Rs.500.
Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way.
We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.
You are special – Don’t ever forget it!

“To seek approval is to have no resting place, no sanctuary. Like all judgment, approval encourages a constant striving. It makes us uncertain of who we are and of our true value. Approval cannot be trusted. It can be withdrawn at any time no matter what our track record has been. It is as nourishing of real growth as cotton candy. Yet many of us spend our lives pursuing it.”
~ Rachel Naomi Remen
P.S: What if,we believed that the One who created us makes no mistakes???
What if ,we choose to value ourselves, for who we truly are.....instead of waiting to be valued by others????
What if, we choose to love and accept ourselves in a way so unconditional.....that it does not matter who else does....or does not...???
If we could do so......we would have found the key to happiness.
Namaste,
Bhagya
