"You and I are all as much continuous
with the physical universe as a wave is continuous with the ocean."
~ Alan Watts

One of the finest and most inspiring stories
I ever came across was in the book
'Tuesdays with Morrie' by Mitch Albom,
later made into a film....which was equally wonderful.
This story is about a little wave and I know
it will touch you profoundly too.
I am also aware that some of you know this story....but it is a great one to return to
every now and then.....

The story is about a little wave,
bobbing along the ocean,
having a grand old time.
He's enjoying the wind
and the fresh air--until he notices
the other waves in front of him
crashing against the shore.
"My God,this is terrible,"
the wave says.
"Look what's going to happen
to me !"
Then along comes another wave.
It sees the first wave looking grim,
and says to him,
"Why do you look so sad?"
The first wave says,
" You don't understand!
We're all going to crash!!
All of us waves are going
to be nothing!! Isn't it terrible?"
The second wave says,
"No, you don't understand.
You're not a wave,
you're part of the ocean."

P.S:
The Sanskrit sutra..."Aham Brahmasmi"
(ah-HUM brah-MAHS-mee)......says it perfectly. "The core of my being is the ultimate reality, the root and ground of the universe, the source of all that exists."as explained by The Chopra Centre.
So I could continue deluding myself .....about how small and insignificant I am.....
or choose to accept the truth and learn to believe that I am a part of the Universe.....
and the Universe a part of me........in which case .......I am a field of Infinite Possibilities......
which includes you and everyone and everything else.
So what I choose to think, speak, feel and do.....
affects EVERYTHING!!!
What a great responsibility......what a great privilege !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Namaste,
Bhagya
