“The universe operates through dynamic exchange... giving and receiving are different aspects of the flow of energy in the universe. and in our willingness to give that which we seek, we keep the abundance of the universe circulating in our lives.”
~ Deepak Chopra
Go to your fields and your gardens, and you shall learn that it is the pleasure of the bee to gather honey of the flower,
But it is also the pleasure of the flower to yield its honey to the bee.
For to the bee a flower is a fountain of life,
And to the flower a bee is a messenger of love,
And to both, bee and flower, the giving and the receiving of pleasure is a need and an ecstasy.
~ Kahlil Gibran
Many people love to give.
It’s a great feeling, and they do so with no expectation. But they often are awful at receiving, and really deprive others of that joy of giving. If given a gift, they say, “You shouldn’t have,” “It’s too much,” or the worst, “I feel bad that you got me this.” Ouch.
This creates bad feelings during what should be a nice moment, and though their intent was to be selfless and polite, it is actually ungrateful. When a gift is given, “thank you” says that they appreciate the time, consideration, and effort that person has already put forth. Giving is virtuous, but so is accepting gifts gratefully.
~Doe Zantamata
“The reality of all life is interdependence. We need to compose our lives in such a way that we both give and receive, learning to do both with grace, seeing both as parts of a single pattern rather than as antithetical alternatives.”
~ Mary Catherine Bateson
“ Life is a balance between giving and receiving, between taking care of yourself and taking care of others.”
Anthony Robbins
P.S: There are those who give and give and give….and there are those that take and take and take.
What if, there could be a balance between the giving and receiving ????
What if, everyone could master the Art of Gracious Giving and Receiving??????
Thank you for visiting the TREASURE TROVE today.
Namaste,
Bhagya
