Welcome to TREASURE TROVE

Sometime in 2009 I set up TREASURE TROVE to share the wonderful things I came across, which delighted,inspired and touched me profoundly. Even though the desire was very strong; for some reason I could never really get started until today. 
Reminds me of the story of the bamboo tree (added below) However, looking at the brighter side.....as I always choose to do....it's been only...a little more than two years....not five :) to get going.


 Time and time again people ...especially the children I shared stories with, would tell me how much they missed them .Sharing my favourite quotes and stories is something I have always enjoyed tremendously.

Since there are lots of good things to be shared.......I hope to have something here everyday and you can always delve into the TREASURE TROVE  whenever you wish and find something that resonates with you.


     The Story of the Chinese Bamboo Tree








You take a little seed,plant,water it,and fertilize it,
and nothing happens.


 The second year you water it and fertilize it,
and nothing happens




The third year you water it and fertilise it,
and nothing happens.


How very discouraging !!!

The fourth year you water it and fertilize it,

and nothing happens.


This is very frustrating.

The fifth year you continue to water and fertilize the seed and then...take note.



Sometime during the fifth year, the Chinese bamboo tree spouts and grows




NINETY FEET IN SIX WEEKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Life is much akin to the growing process of the Chinese bamboo tree.
It is often discouraging. We seemingly do things right, and nothing happens

However, for those who believe in themselves and what they are doing...those who do things right persistently


without getting discouraged wonderful things happen.




The rewards may be late in coming but they always do come.
